We are chronic pain specialists.  We correct chronic pain, acute pain, long and short term pain.  We are movement specialist and we cover a basic knowledge of supportive herbal health.  We offer physical, mental and emotional address in one session.  We work with other specialist.  We try and encompass every question.

All services begin with a physical assessment.  Standing assessment, standing bodywork, prone and supine assessment, prone and supine table work.  Connections drawn for compensatory lineage of injury for communication with other health professionals.

Who do We Treat?

image2

We treat adults and children.  We find that the techniques employed through Integrated Cranial Health level the playing field and allow trauma to come to the surface reguardless of the population we treat.   Certain personalities may or may not work better with certain populations, and we do our best to align you with a therapist who fits.  We ask that you start with answering our questions through email first and then we set up an appointment.  We charge a minimal fee to take history and determine if we can help you.  At the end of gathering history, we will recommend a plan whether it is with us or not.  We want you to be informed, and feel confident in your path to becoming whole again.  We spend two hours on history before taking on a client.  We want the session to be about neurological manual bodywork, and not a talk therapy and history gathering. Please see the email option  to start on the Shop page.

Nutritional advice is only given after one is seen for 3-5 treatments.  We are experts at getting to know YOUR problem and how to handle it in the boundaries of YOUR life.  We do not offer school straight, book smart education; rather we employ it and get to know you and your problem for whole health and elimination of chronic pain.

We offer manual neurological bodywork, manual tissue address and alignment, Gait assessment, naturopathic/herbal advice, stair stepping off medication through structured herbs and emotional and mental awareness to the problem at hand.  All sessions begin with physical alignment.  As the neurology responds to safety, we work on emotional and mental balance.

Seminars~Teaching~Understanding

Carolynn Thompson, L.M.T., C.S.T, ICT, D.oN. has studied chronic pain for over twenty years.  When her work was passed off by another therapist, she re-entered the bodywork world and her worth.  Through her own removal of chronic pain, she extended the work of Dr. John Upledger, originator of Cranial Sacral Therapy.  She has developed sitting, standing and lying down protocols for unwinding the spine manually.  Her bodywork is accompanied by nutritional advice that is life actualized and complimentary to treatment.  She aims for neurological release and safety so that goals can be achieved within feelings of satisfaction.  She recognizes, employs and actively heals the mental and emotional aspects of injury.   Carolynn works with all levels of pain and discomfort and her practice is extensive after solving neurological pattern issues in triatheletes and professional athletes to a complete loss of function within the body, including quadrapalegics.

Carolynn teaches to both layman and professionals.  Her classes are full of practical information to use immediately within the home or practice.  Skill sets can be viewed through the lense of the layman or through the scope of a practice.  All bodywork information is paired with how the brain mentally and emotionally responds to injury and how we address both in one session so that an individual can separate, identify and work on what is needed to carry forward and on.
"What a professional can learn, so can the mom... it is only the presentation of understood information that we find a divide... never underestimate why a human heals or how" Carolynn Thompson 2011

Laymen?

Information abounds on our site for the layman and the professional.  There are articles written for both platforms.  The information presented to layman is worded for practical understanding and education.  We hope to help you find metal ease through the information presented, please ask us questions and help make the information begin clearer where you see fit.
Classes and talks are designed just for the layman alone, as well as classes for laymen to learn beside professionals.  All classes listed for Professionals only are not available to Laymen unless by personal request.

Practitioners~Professionals~Therapists

BodyWork Professionals struggle in numerous genres.  Clients want us to be able to assess, alter and heal their injuries within 1-3 visits.  We know this is illogical from the standpoint of chronic pain as injured tissue does not heal a chronic pattern in a few hours.  Writings, courses, talks and information shared with professionals is to help change the care of chronic pain completely.  We employ manual skills that can be used from a gym to a private facility.  These skills augment the spine and skull to find balance in structure, but also tone, equalize and help define balance, communication and stimulation of neurological control and balance in the human system bilaterally and equilaterally.  Successful practitioners gain skills manually first, learn to address mental discomfort and aim for emotional balance.

What does a session include/entail?
Each therapist practices in their own unique way and we cannot promise a universal approach.  Each session is based on a personal touch, but will include history, spinal assessments, gait analysis, movement analysis, and a glimpse into the emotional and mental binds that hold us injured.  Clients will walk, talk and receive standing and table work.
When can I expect nutritional consultation?

Only after 3-5 visits to address neurological stagnancy or dynamic compensation.  Our nutritional needs are a direct link to what our nervous system can handle.  We focus on calming the nervous system, stabilizing the nerve signal and balancing the cerebrospinal fluid allowing the spine and organs to talk with less argument.  Also, we will have assessed history, diet and lifestyle by the time these sessions have completed.  In this way, we can create a nutritional program based within the real life boundaries so that one can achieve change for better health.
